Emily Lipari Repeats as Medtronic TC 1 Mile Champion

The Star Tribune reports Emily Lipari and Sam McEntee were winners Thursday at the Medtronic TC 1 Mile.

Lipari won for the second straight year, finishing in a time of 4:39.8. Cory McGee was second in 4:41.0.

Lipari said after the race that she did not feel great at the start, so opted to run a more tactical race.

The men's race was won by Australian Sam McEntee in 4:03.0. Daniel Herrera was second in 4:03.7. Herrera also finished second last year.

Both Lipari and McEntee ran for Villanova during their collegiate careers.
